WHAT IS IT?
Web Gear is a free, lightweight open source web development platform, aimed at developing fast web applications, based on a well defined MVC structure. Performance and scalability are our main objectives. This platform is focused on building the logic of a website, rather than gathering and writing libraries of your own, although that is possible as well, among other cool features we wrapped up in this platform.
The Web Gear Development Platform™ is licensed under the Web Gear License, which is a private license you should read before using the platform.

WHO IS IT FOR?
The Web Gear Development Platform™ is targeted at professional web developers (mostly programmers), who understand programming design patterns and seek quality code and ease of implementing web applications. It is entirely written in PHP and includes libraries for database operations, file uploading, easy templating, localization and more.
The Web Gear Development Platform™ is not for users who want to create a website by pointing and clicking. It is for users (both home users and companies) looking for a professional and secure platform to develop on.
